Description

The datasets refer to the study of the interaction of cicatricose spores, related to the family Anemiaceae, with other botanical groups, in the palynological record. Detailed multivariate statistical analyses were applied, in order to trace paleoclimatic, paleoenvironmental and paleoecological aspects and the adaptation of Anemiaceae in variable conditions throughout its existence, especially that this family is distributed spatially through a large regional scale of the world. Nowadays, the genus Anemia lives in rocky habitats, under dry to humid conditions, which is in accordance with most of the conclusions achieved in the work regarding distinct geological basins (Brazil, India and France). The datasets object of the statistical analysis are quantitative, discrete (integers) and from the identification and counting of the recorded palynomorphs in slides. Each file combines samples collected in the one specific geological stratigraphic unit, which bears the same name as the file. Column names represent the name of the palynomorphs and rows represent the slides represented by sample numbers. The integers are the abundance of palynomorphs counted and given in raw original numbers. Areado, Codó, Urucutuca, Gramame , Resende, Tremembé and Itaquaquecetuba are geological formations in Brazil, while Angeac is in France and Kota in India.
