Description

Not exhaustive excel sheet containing Brazilian citizen science initiatives categorized by: objectives, type of citizen scientists’ involvement (contributory, collaborative or co-created), regio of occurrence in the country (North, Northeas, Central-West, Southeast or South), geographical abrangence (local, regional or global), studied taxon, study goal (action, conservation, investigation, virtual or education), covered ecosystem (marine, terrestrial or freshwater) and Essential Biodiversity Variables (EBVs) addressed. The references for each initiative is also provided. This dataset is related to the research article "Nascimento, A.P.; Ghilardi-Lopes, N.P. Current status and possibilities of citizen science for biodiversity conservation in Brazil."
