There was an initial pilot study of 40 surveys. After evaluating the responses and to ensure the validity and reliability, the survey was fine-tuned to improve the statistical results. The questionnaire had three sections: the first section included specific questions to identify those individuals who have any knowledge about cloud productivity tools such as Microsoft Office 365 or Google G Suite and to ensure they were qualified for this study. The second section included all the construct items; and, the third section included questions for a demographic profile of participants. A total of 653 individuals participated in the study, 92 of whom were excluded since they did not know what cloud productivity tools are; 119 were excluded because they abandoned the SurveyMonkey platform before completing the survey; and, 38 were excluded because their location was different from Antioquia, Colombia. The total number of valid, completed responses for the formal data collection was 404. (Table 3) presents the demographic statistical information of the survey’s participants. The confirmatory factor analysis was made using SmartPLS software. Two steps were required to guarantee the measurements validation for this study: the outer model evaluates and verifies the relationship among the indicator variables and the constructs, and the inner model to test the proposed hypothesis by displaying the relationship among the constructs.
