Description

There are different economic, social, political and cultural features belonging to the societies around the world. Food and culinary topics are among the important cultural heritages that reveal the identity of the community, lifestyle, eating habits and authenticity. The African communities have remained under the rule of different civilizations from ancient times and have been influenced by the cultures of these civilizations, eventually forming their own unique kitchen culture. In this study, we examined the cultural reflections and effects of cuisine in the north, south, west and eastern parts of the four main regions of Africa, the culinary history, cooking techniques, ingredients used and eating habits.
