Data were collected through a cross-sectional online questionnaire administered to Malaysian consumers using convenience sampling. The questionnaire comprised demographic questions and measurement items assessing Awareness of Environmental Consequences (AEC), Subjective Norms (SN), Perceived Behavioural Control (PBC), Self-Interest Orientation (SIO), Post-Consumption Governance (PCG), E-Waste Recycling Intention (ERI), and E-Waste Recycling Behaviour (ERB). All construct items were measured using a five-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (Strongly Disagree) to 5 (Strongly Agree). A total of 301 responses were initially collected. The data were screened for completeness and response quality, resulting in 243 valid responses retained for analysis. The deposited dataset contains these cleaned and anonymised responses. The data were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 to evaluate the measurement and structural models. The dataset has been anonymised prior to public release and contains no personally identifiable information.
