The article seeks to answer the question: How did private higher education institutions survive during the pandemic? What strategies were developed to ensure the sustainability of the institution? What practical measures were taken? Research shows that in times of crisis, HEIs tend to adopt a centralized management approach, partially delegating their actions in an environment of intense collaboration.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) worldwide, including Brazil. This paper explores sustainable management strategies that private HEIs in Brazil can implement to maintain the quality of their programs during the pandemic. Reviewing the literature and case studies of Brazilian private HEIs, we identify key strategies such as transitioning to remote teaching, implementing flexible policies, and engaging in collaborative partnerships.
