Description

The development of the Bay Area depends on the cooperation and coordination between the ocean and the hinterland cities. Like living organisms, the development of the Bay Area is a special evolutionary process with differences. At present, the four major bay areas in the world include New York Bay Area, San Francisco Bay Area, Tokyo Bay Area, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. And their respective economic scales play a pivotal role in the economic development of their respective countries. Due to the different fields of development in the major bay areas, this study takes the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as an example for discussion. The development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area benefits from the policy support of the Chinese government and hopes to build the Greater Bay Area into an important hub linking countries along the Belt and Road. Coupled with China's vigorous promotion in the fields of "blockchain plus", cross-border e-commerce, and producer services, it is a feasible future development direction to integrate the advantages of all parties to build the Greater Bay Area into an international productive service outsourcing center. Based on this, this paper constructs a blockchain technology service outsourcing model for heterogeneous firms and draws the following three conclusions through simulation and empirical analysis: 1. The Chinese government should actively build the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into an international productive service outsourcing center under blockchain technology. This will positively help the development of China's e-commerce industry and social welfare. 2. The increase in investment in productive service tasks and e-commerce environment infrastructure in countries along with the “Belt and Road” will also help improve the total output and social welfare of the country’s cross-border e-commerce industry. 3. Narrowing the differences in e-commerce infrastructure between the two countries will benefit both countries. This means that the Chinese government has an inherent motivation to help the countries along the "Belt and Road" to build the e-commerce environment infrastructure, and at the same time improve the development level of their e-commerce, and ultimately form a win-win situation.
