Description

This data set contains Whole-rock major and trace element data for Golan-Galilee Plio-Pleistocene basalts, Israel. Whole-rock major element data was collected using a Perkin Elmer Optima 3300 at the Geological Survey of Israel (GSI). Volatile content was determined using lost in agnition at GSI. The trace element content of the whole rock was collected using Perkin Elmer NexION 300D at GSI. Olivine phenocrysts major and minor element content was collected using JEOL JXA-8230 microprobe equipped with four wavelength dispersive spectrometers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Israel (HUJI). Trace element content of the phenocrysts was collected using a RESOlution (ASI, Australia) 193 nm ArF excimer laser coupled to an Analytik Jena PlasmaQuantMS Elite ICPMS at HUJI. The dataset contains six data tabs: 1. Whole-rock major and trace element data 2. Average major, minor, and trace element data of olivine phenocrysts. 3. Individual Electron microprobe measurements of olivine phenocrysts. 4. Data on 93 analysis of San-Carlos olivine (NMNH# 111312-44) for HP-EPMA. 5. Individual combined Electron microprobe and laser ablation ICP-MS measurements of olivine phenocrysts. 6. LA-ICP-MS values vs. preferred values (ppm) for natural olivine standards SC-GB.
