Description

To evaluate the respective effect of microphone and dummy head morphology on the head-related transfer functions (HRTFs), measurements were performed in an anechoic room for two different dummy heads and their associated pair of microphones. Four different configurations are considered : (i) head 1 with microphones 1, (ii) head 2 with microphones 1, (iii) head 1 with microphones 2 and (iv) head 2 with microphones 2. For each of these configurations, the HRTFs were measured for 115 different directions of arrival, representing the 1/4 sphere top/right surrounding the head. This data set contains raw wave files for each measurement, documentation about the laboratory setup, as well as matlab codes allowing the analysis of these measurements. The codes are identical to those used to obtain the figures in the following article of the same authors: "Evaluation of the respective effects of microphone type and dummy head type on measured head-related transfer functions", Submitted to the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society.
