Digital Burnout
Description
This dataset contains anonymized survey responses from 456 emerging adults (aged 18–29) living, studying, or working in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The study examined digital burnout, social media self‑presentation, perceived identity threat, and social media use frequency, along with basic demographic information (age group, gender, and occupational status). Digital burnout was assessed using the 24‑item Digital Burnout Scale, social media self‑presentation with the 7‑item SPAUSCIS scale, and identity threat with a 19‑item Identity Threat Scale, all adapted through a rigorous forward‑backward translation and cultural validation process. Scores are provided on 5‑point Likert scales. The dataset is suitable for replication analyses, secondary modeling, and cross‑cultural comparisons of digital burnout and identity processes in highly digitalized urban contexts.
