The data-set is used in the publication entitled: 'Plant growth shapes the effects of elevation on the content and variability of flavonoids in subalpine bilberry stands' published in Plant Biology (Plant Biol.). The research hypothesis, sampling design, methods, analysis, results and interpretation of results are described in the published paper. The data-set include sample sites environmental data, growth traits of Vaccinium myrtillus (bilberry) stands and flavonoid content measured in leaves and berries of Vaccinium myrtillus L.
