Data Collection Methods Google Form Survey: A significant portion of the data was collected using an online survey created on Google Forms. The form included questions related to demographic details (age, gender), academic information (course, year of study, CGPA), and mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and treatment-seeking behaviors). The form was distributed to participants through institutional email, social media platforms, and academic networks to ensure a broad reach. Physical Data Collection: In addition to the online survey, some data were collected in person by engaging with students on campus. Permission was obtained from the institutional authority to approach students for their responses. Participants were informed about the purpose of the research and provided consent before contributing their data. Protocols Used Ethical Considerations: All participants were assured confidentiality of their personal information. Responses were anonymized, and no identifying details were recorded. Participants were free to skip any question or withdraw from the survey at any time. Sample Selection: The sample included students from various academic disciplines, years of study, and institutions. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students were included to ensure diverse representation. Instruments and Tools Used Google Forms Physical Questionnaires Excel Software: Data from both Google Forms and physical questionnaires were compiled into Excel for cleaning and analysis. The final dataset was structured with columns for each question, ensuring uniformity across all data sources. Reagents or Software: No chemical reagents were used. Microsoft Excel was the primary software for organizing and analyzing data. Workflow Survey Design: The questionnaire was created with a focus on demographic, academic, and mental health-related questions. Questions were designed to be simple, clear, and relevant to the research objectives. Data Collection: Online responses were directly recorded in Google Forms. Physical responses were manually collected and entered into the Excel spreadsheet. Data Cleaning: Responses were reviewed for duplicates or incomplete data. Necessary corrections were made to fix formatting inconsistencies. Data Analysis: The cleaned data was analyzed for patterns and trends using Excel tools like filters, pivot tables, and basic statistical functions. Reproducibility To reproduce this research: Design a similar questionnaire on Google Forms or other survey tools. Obtain permission from institutional authorities for physical data collection (if required). Ensure ethical considerations, including participant consent and confidentiality. Use Excel or similar software to compile and analyze the data. Follow the outlined workflow for consistency. By adhering to these methods and protocols, future researchers can gather and analyze comparable data on student mental health effectively.
