Dataset Title: Oral Health Seeking Behavior and Glycemic Control in Type 2 Diabetes Patients in Lagos, Nigeria Description: This dataset contains primary data collected from a cross-sectional study conducted at a tertiary hospital in Lagos State, Nigeria. The study investigated the oral health seeking behavior of individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and explored potential associations between this behavior and glycemic control. Additionally, the study assessed the oral health-related quality of life among T2DM patients. Data Collection: Sample size: 158 respondents Method: Interviewer-administered questionnaires Setting: Tertiary hospital in Lagos State, Nigeria Variables: The dataset includes, but is not limited to, the following categories of variables: Demographic information Diabetes-related health indicators Oral health seeking behaviors Glycemic control measures Oral health-related quality of life indicators Data Format: The raw data has been digitized and is available in two formats: Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx) IBM SPSS data file (.sav) - Compatible with SPSS version 23 and later This comprehensive dataset offers valuable insights into the intersection of oral health behaviors and diabetes management in a Nigerian urban setting, potentially informing targeted interventions and policy decisions in similar contexts.
