Description

Data for the article "Horton et al., 2017, The analogue method for precipitation prediction: finding better analogue situations at a sub-daily time step". The dataset contains the required inputs in order to assess the introduction of a moving time window in the analogue method with the software AtmoSwing (www.atmoswing.org), to the exception of the reanalysis datasets. The parameters files can be used in AtmoSwing optimizer in order to calibrate the analogue method for a given dataset and moving time window size. The calibrations are performed for 6 precipitation stations in Switzerland. Results (outputs of AtmoSwing) are also provided as zip files. They contain the optimal parameters for every configuration, the performance scores, and the dates and precipitation of the selected analogues for every target date of the calibration/validation periods.
