Description

The FT-IR spectrum was recorded in the mid IR region on a Perkin Elmer- spectrum Two FT-IR/ATR spectrometer system with 0.50 cm-1 resolution at SAIF, St.Peters University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The FT-Raman spectrum was recorded in the mid IR region on a Bruker RFS-27 FT-Raman spectrometer with 2 cm-1 resolution using 1064 nm spectral line of Nd: YAG laser for excitation, operating at 100 mW power as excitation wave length at SAIF, IIT Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The 1H and 13C NMR spectra were recorded in Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) on a Bruker high solution nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer at 300 K using Tetramethylsilane (TMS) as an internal reference and chemical shifts were expressed in ppm relative internal reference at IIISM, SRM university, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. NMR spectra were obtained at base frequency of 400 MHz for 1H and 100 MHz for 13C nuclei (4:1 ratio). The UV-Vis spectra were recorded in two different solvents such as ethanol and water in the range of 1100 – 190 nm on a Perkin Elmer Lambda 35 UV Winlab V6.0 spectrometer with 0.5 – 4 nm bandwidth at SAIF, St.Peters University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
