A dataset of assessment for understanding and awareness of renewable energy among Indonesian students
Description
The awareness factor in the use of renewable energy is one of the biggest obstacles in Indonesia. Therefore, this research evaluated the awareness level of renewable energy as well as compared and determined its relationship with gender and educational level. Data were collected through a questionnaire-based survey and analyzed using non-parametric test methods with a quantitative descriptive approach. The results showed that the average awareness level among vocational high school (SMK) students is in the moderate category with a score of 57.50. On the other hand, the average awareness level among students of engineering faculty (FT) and vocational engineering education (PTK) falls into the high category, with an average score of 75.25. This means that there is a significant difference between educational groups. Meanwhile, this research also showed no significant difference between males and females. The results offer valuable insights and recommendations concerning the awareness level of the younger generation in Indonesia regarding renewable energy.
