Supporting dataset for Cusinato et al., 2021, Winter Euro-Atlantic climate modes: Future Scenarios from a CMIP6 multi-model ensemble.

The datasets provide winter time-series of indices of major modes of Euro-Atlantic climate variability calculated for an ensemble of CMIP6 historical and ssp585 simulations. Indices include North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO), Eastern Atlantic pattern (EA), Eastern Atlantic Western Russian pattern (EAWR) and Scandinavian pattern (SCA). The indices have been computed from the 500hPa geopotential height (Z500) field and from the sea-level pressure field. Dataset are named according to the following criterion: ${index}_${level} where index=[NAO,EA,EAWR,SCA] and level=[Z500,SLP]. Each dataset is a NumPy array of size [46,249] corresponding to [simulations,time] where simulations refer to the 46 CMIP6 simulations (historical and ssp585) listed in the pdf document "CMIP6_simulations" and time refers to the period from 1851 to 2099 over which the indices time-series have been computed. The indices time-series of all the datasets have been standardized over the period 1980-2014.
