Description

I used the Web of Science (WoS) data to select bibliography for GRI analysis due to its temporal coverage (from 1900 to present) and usage of multiple citation indices. Being aware that not all the journals are (and were) the part of WoS, I assumed that the citation index used by WoS could provide an understanding of the general trends and patterns of the GRI research. To verify the trends, I also used Scopus data, which temporal coverage starts from 2004 though.

Steps to reproduce

I retrieved two lists of the publications (from Scopus and WoS with all its citation databases) by (authors') keyword “grassroots innovation” with no limitations by publication’s language. I purposely performed search by the authors’ keyword as it demonstrated that the authors perceived and used “grassroots innovation” as a holistic term.
