Description

This is the New Mexico Vegetation Treatment Geodatabase which is the most comprehensive collection of information about vegetation management (e.g., thinning, restoration, prescribed fire, and herbicide applications) for the region. While the database focuses on New Mexico it also includes part of the neighboring states of Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. The database contains the location and boundaries or vegetation treatments, and in many cases it also contains information about the type of treatment and the species that was targeted for removal. The version of the project here is archived for posterity and was the most current version on 1 October 2023. This project is updated quarterly with new projects, and the most current version can be found here: www.vegetationtreatments.org
