Serum PSA clearance after simple prostatectomy or TURP for BPE in patients with PSA of 4 and above, but with benign prostate biopsy report

Description

The dataset is from patients who presented with LUTS/BPH, but whose serum total PSA were up to 4ng/ml necessitating TRUS-guided biopsy of the prostate to exclude malignancy prior to TURP or open simple prostatectomy. The serum total PSA was monitored for 12 weeks post surgery. A control arm of patients who had no surgery, but were placed on Tamsulosin/Dutasteride medication was set up as well.
