Description

Dataset Description This dataset contains measurements of soil inorganic nitrogen (NH4⁺, NO2⁻, NO3⁻) and phosphorus (PO4³⁻) concentrations collected under two woody species—Prosopis juliflora (n = 6) and Acacia tortilis (n = 4)—as well as from adjacent unvegetated patches (n = 4), across two seasons (spring and summer). Samples were collected from ten soil depth intervals (0–100 cm, in 10 cm increments) for each replicate tree or patch. The data include: Site and tree identifiers Vegetation type (habitat) Soil depth Seasonal sampling (spring, summer) Soil inorganic NH4⁺, NO2⁻, NO3⁻, and PO4³⁻ concentrations (in µg/g) Detailed methodology for soil sampling, laboratory analysis, and experimental design is provided in the manuscript submitted to Catena for peer review and publication.
