Description

* The variable-rate Pumping Test Analysis Tools (PTA Tools) are developed in FORTRAN environment under the support of the Department of Earth Sciences of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences of Zanjan in Iran.* * PTA Tools are provided due to the study by Mostafa Naderi and Hoshin V Gupta entitled "On the Reliability of Time-Variable Pumping Test Results: Sensitivity to Information Content of the Recorded Data", Water Resources Research, 2020. * PTA Tools are free for every academic researches, but not for any commercial purposes * * PTA Tools simulate the drawdown around a pumping well that is pumped irregularly for six cases including: the methods of Theis [1935], Papadopulos and Cooper [1967] and Hantush [1961] for confined aquifers, the method of Hantush and Jacob [1955] and Lai and Su [1974] for leaky aquifers, and the method of Neuman [1972-1975] for unconfined aquifers. * * The aforementioned solutions are programmed in FORTRAN and the aquifer parameters can be estimated by coupling these solutions to the Model-Independent Parameter Estimation and Uncertainty Analysis tool (PEST) [Doherty, 2010]. *
