  • Data for: The current strategies and parameters for the enhanced microbial production of 2,3-butanediol
2,3-Butanediol (2,3-BD) is a propitious compound with many industrial uses ranging from rubber, fuels, and cosmetics to food additives. Its microbial production has especially attracted as an alternative way to the petroleum-based production. However, 2,3-BD production has always been hampered by low yields and high production costs. The enhanced production of 2,3-butanediol requires screening of the best strains and a systematic optimization of fermentation conditions. Moreover, the metabolic pathway engineering is essential to achieve the best results and minimize the production costs by rendering the strains to use efficiently low cost substrates. This review is to provide up-to-date information on the current strategies and parameters for the enhanced microbial production of 2,3-BD. .

  • Data for: Household aluminum foil matte and bright side reflectivity measurements: application to a photobioreactor light concentrator design
Dear Sir, Please find attached our measurements on the two samples of household aluminum foil. Bright and matte sides, specular and diffuse, reflectivities are presented. Measurements have been repeated at two different locations each time. Total diffusivity can be easily computed. Please, do not hesitate to contact me for further information: victor.pozzobon@centralesupelec.fr Sincerely your, Dr. Pozzobon Victor.

  • Data for: Molecular fingerprinting of the Indian medicinal plant Strychnos minor Dennst
The current studies were undertaken to assess molecular difference in the genomic DNA of the S. minor, while growing on sixteen different locality samples were using thirteen random markers were analysing Radom Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD), the polymorphic information content (PIC) shown maximum for the primer of OPB-04 (0.40) followed by the primer OPB-20 (0.39) followed by similarity matrix by Jaccard’s coefficient index and distance matrix by clustering analysis.

  • Data for: Characterization, antioxidant and immunomodulatory potential on exopolysaccharide produced by wild and mutant Weissella confusa strains
characterization, antioxidant and immunomodulatory potential of exopolysaccharide (EPS) produced by wild and mutant Weissella confusa. Wild Weissella confusa (WWCEPS) produced the highest EPS compare to the mutant strain. Eight (8) monosaccharides were present in the EPS. Galactose had the highest composition (34.60196 mg/100g and 33.47168 mg/100g EPS) in WWCEPS and mutant Weissella confusa EPS (MWCEPS). WWC and MWC EPS had antioxidant capacity. WWCEPS had the highest DPPH capacity, total antioxidant activity, hydrogen peroxide and reducing power activity (71%, 1.88%, 86.7% and 1.85%). Wild and mutant Weissella confusa EPS had immunomodulatory activity on the treated mice.
