Replication package for the analyses in “When public ownership disclosure becomes tradable: Machine readability and first-session price discovery in Schedule 13D.” This deposit contains canonical open event-level data, accession manifests, public-source inputs, exact aggregate manuscript tables, exact rendered manuscript figures, documentation, validation materials, and helper code for the public replication layer. It supports public re-analysis of the filing-universe, event-construction, first-stage format-shock, parser-mechanism, continuity, and public SEC supplement layers. Raw licensed CRSP files, WRDS/TAQ returned intraday files, and mixed-source downstream derivatives are not redistributed. Those restricted dependencies, the manuscript objects they support, and rebuild instructions are documented in the restricted-dependency manifest and licensed rebuild guide.

Steps to reproduce

Download and unzip the deposit. First read README.md, REPRODUCIBILITY_SCOPE.md, and LICENSES_AND_RESTRICTIONS.md to understand the boundary between fully open materials and licensed dependencies. If running code, install the required Python packages listed in code/reproduction_pipeline/requirements.txt. Next run `python code/validate_repository_package.py` to verify the public inventory, SHA-256 hashes, manuscript-output files, and anchor counts. For the fully open layer, use the canonical event-level files in `data_open/processed/`, the public-source inputs in `data_open/public_source/`, and the support outputs in `outputs/tables/`, `outputs/figures/`, and `outputs/reports/` to reproduce the filing-universe, public sample-construction diagnostics, first-stage format-shock, parser-mechanism, continuity, and public SEC supplement results. Exact as-published article tables and figures are already deposited in `outputs/manuscript_tables/` and `outputs/manuscript_figures/`. Daily-return objects (Tables 3, 4, A1, A3, A4) require licensed CRSP access, and intraday objects (Figure 2, Table 5, A6) require WRDS/TAQ access; rebuild those layers using `docs/LICENSED_REBUILD_GUIDE.md` and the helper scripts in `code/reproduction_pipeline/`.
