This repository contains source code relevant of the manuscript: Improving the motor symptoms of Parkinson’ disease using intermittent stimulation of globus pallidus internus Mohammad Mehdi Ostad Ali Akbary, Arvin Dini, and Abbas Erfanian Summary: In this study, we evaluated the effects of various stimulation parameters on motor symptoms in a hemi-parkinsonian rat model during GPi-DBS. We assessed motor performance across a range of DBS frequencies, amplitudes, and pulse-widths. We also introduced an intermittent stimulation paradigm to reduce the delivered charge compared with continuous stimulation meanwhile improving DBS efficacy.
