Description

1. The mtDNA genome alignment used to design primer for Haemosporidian parasites was generated in: Pacheco MA, Matta NE, Valkiunas G, Parker PG, Mello B, Stanley CE Jr, Lentino M, Garcia-Amado MA, Cranfield M, Kosakovsky Pond SL, Escalante AA. 2018. Mode and Rate of Evolution of Haemosporidian Mitochondrial Genomes: Timing the Radiation of Avian Parasites. Mol Biol Evol. 2018 Feb 1;35(2):383-403. doi: 10.1093/molbev/msx285. PMID: 29126122 2. Three alignments using mitochondrial genes (cytb, cox3 and cytb plus cox3 concatenated) to do phylogenetic analyses were generated in: M. Andreína Pacheco, Axl S. Cepeda, Rasa Bernotienė, Ingrid, A. Lotta, Nubia E. Matta, Gediminas Valkiūnas, Ananias A. Escalante1. (Submitted to IJP). Primers targeting mitochondrial genes of avian haemosporidians: PCR detection and differential DNA amplification of parasites belonging to different genera.
