Description

The data presented herein relate to the manuscript "Hotspots of soil pollution: risks of glyphosate and aminomethylphosphonic acid to terrestrial ecosystems and human health - Dataset" by Ferreira et al., submitted to Data In Brief. The file contains the list of selected references; the maximum concentrations of glyphosate (GLY) and aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) concentrations for the selected studies; the LC50 and PNEC values found in the literature for different species of earthworms and springtails; the Risk Quotient (RQ) for GLY and AMPA; and the Human Risk Assessment through the incremental lifetime carcinogenic risk (ILCR) and the non-cancer risk (hazard index - HI) also for GLY and AMPA. The data also provides the parameters (e.g. soil ingestion rate, exposure duration, frequency) to calculate the ILCR and HI. Details on the selection of literature and equations are provided in the submitted article. All protocols and details are provided in Ferreira et al. submitted to Data In Brief. Briefly, a literature review was conducted in Scopus for the occurrence of GLY and AMPA globally. The maximum values of these compounds were used to calculate the RQ for earthworms and springtails, along with ILCR and HI, according to the Exposure Factors Handbook from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA, 2011). The indexes and scores for the different regions globally were debated. The submitted manuscript provides the full formulas and parameters used (Ferreira et al., submitted).
