Description

The bioinorganic chemistry of mixed-ligand metal chelates of chelating agents with (N & O) donor atoms has been an area of interest for a number of years. Curcumin(CUM) (C21H20O6) is a yellow coloring natural pigment has been shown to exhibit (anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antioxidant) activities . 1 Most studies dealing with (chelates have been published within the past (10) years. 2 and thus has a potential against various malignant diseases, Alzheimer’s disease diabetes, arthritis, chronic illnesses, and allergies 1-3. Curcumin incorporates several functional groups.
