The data were obtained through a three-wave matched employee–coworker survey conducted in organizational settings in China. Participants completed structured questionnaires at three different time points. The survey measured coworkers’ AI literacy, employees’ perceived threat, admiration, performance-prove goal orientation, knowledge hiding behavior, and relevant demographic and control variables. Established multi-item scales were used to measure the main constructs, and responses were collected using Likert-type rating scales. To match responses across waves while protecting participant anonymity, each participant was assigned an anonymous identification code. After data collection, incomplete or invalid responses were removed, and matched responses from the three waves were retained for analysis. All personally identifiable information was deleted before data sharing. The data were analyzed using statistical software such as SPSS, Mplus.
