Description

This dataset comprises biomonitoring, clinical, and questionnaire-derived variables collected to support research on phthalate exposure, biological aging metrics, and male reproductive health indicators. The dataset includes 1,395 eligible participants who met inclusion criteria for complete phthalate, testosterone, and covariate data. Variables encompass demographic characteristics (age, race/ethnicity, education level, marital status, poverty income ratio), health conditions (hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome), lifestyle factors (smoking status assessed via serum cotinine, alcohol consumption patterns), anthropometric measures (BMI), mitochondrial function markers (methylmalonic acid), and aging indices (phenotypic age, Klemera-Doubal method biological age, Klotho protein levels). Phthalate metabolites included mono-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (MEHP), mono-n-butyl phthalate (MnBP), mono-benzyl phthalate (MBzP), and other metabolites. This integrated dataset provides a valuable resource for investigating relationships between environmental chemical exposures, endocrine function, and biological aging processes. Its reuse potential extends to endocrine disruption research, environmental epidemiology studies, aging biomarker validation, and methodological applications in mixture analysis.
