Description

This repository provides the dataset and code for the study "Quantifying the Colour Discrimination Capability of Natural and Electric Lights: A Pilot Study". The provided Excel file contains the original psychophysical data (Exp. I, II, and III) including Adjusted Total Error Scores, CCT, illuminance, and spectral power distributions. It also includes a user-friendly calculator for the CDM-G metric, the physical spectral reflectance of FM-100 caps, and a data source directory citing third-party datasets for traceability. Additionally, a standalone MATLAB script (XYZ2CAM16UCS_simple.m) is provided to rapidly convert standard CIE 1931 XYZ values into J'a'b' coordinates within the CIECAM16-UCS color space. Researchers can use this MATLAB script to obtain the required coordinates and input them directly into the Excel calculator to efficiently compute CDM-G values and replicate the study's findings.
