Description

These supplementary data to the above article consist of seven tables (I.1 to I.7) concerning all the columns analysed (i) in reference [11] of the article (Tables I.1 and I.2) and (ii) in this work (see Table 2 of the article − Tables I.3 to I.7). Each table deals with columns exhibiting one (out seven) cross-section shape, namely: plain channels (U), lipped channels (C), hat-sections (H), rack-sections (R), return lipped channels (RLC), web-stiffened lipped channels (WSC) and web-flange-stiffened lipped channels (WFSC). Within each table, there are several “sub-tables”, each one concerning a specific selected column geometry (cross-section dimensions and length) – the lengths selected can be found in reference [11] of the article (U and C columns) or in its Table 2 (all the other columns). Each “sub-table” comprises five rows, corresponding to the 5 yield stresses (fy=150-300-450-600-750 MPa) considered for each column – each row contains the column (i) buckling loads (Pcr.FT, Pb.Fm) and their ratio RG, (ii) flexural-torsional (FT) slenderness (λFT), (iii) numerical failure load (Pu) and (iv) numerical failure-to-predicted load ratios (Pu/PnG, Pu/PnFT, Pu/PnFT-Fm).
