The experimental setting, regarding data collection through “thing interviewing” and incremental prompting of ChatGPT 3.5, considered the following steps. i. Input an initial prompt concerning conceptual clarification on nanostores as independent small grocery retailers in emerging countries to outline the general context and study topic. ii. Input an incremental prompt about nanostores’ strategies to enhance their competitiveness while positively impacting the sustainability of their communities in emerging countries. Gradually provide additional information and guidance to ChatGPT 3.5, if necessary. This stepwise input provided further information or context. iii. Input an iterative refinement prompt based on the generated content to explore alternatives to nanostores’ strategies. iv. Obtain a comprehensive and contextualized final output by combining the incremental steps. v. Incorporate user feedback to refine the obtained responses for reporting, further exploration, clarification, or exemplification.
