Description

British Election Study panel data, processed waves 25 and 26. Data shows constructed (post-)materialism scale from four BES measures.

Steps to reproduce

Full BES panel processed using RStudio, refining to pro-Palestine respondents only and analysing varying (post-)materialist attitudes amongst Muslims who are pro-Palestine and non-Muslims who are pro-Palestine. Palestine support and Muslim/non-Muslim are taken directly from existing BES measures. (Post-)Materialism is created (and validated with EFA and CFA) using four items in the BES relating to the economy vs. environment, defence spending, support for censorship, and support for harsher criminal sentencing.
