This dataset is supportive to the research article entitled ‘Cost-effectiveness of lung cancer screening with low-dose computed tomography in heavy smokers: A micro-simulation modelling study’ (Yihui Du et al. 2020). The input data used for tumour growth model and self-detected tumour size model were provided. The following output data were included, data used for cost-effectiveness analysis of lung cancer screening with the Dutch and international discount rates, data of the sensitivity analysis and data of the model validation. The description of the data can be found in the related article in the Data in Brief.
