Description

Visium datasets used in examples and tutorials for the semla R package (https://github.com/ludvigla/semla). Visium is a spatially resolved transcriptomics technology used to measure gene expression profiles with spatial resolution from tissue sections. Two datasets are provided: 1. Coronal tissue section of the mouse brain - a gene expression matrix, histological images at different resolutions and additional coordinate files which can be used as input for data analysis with semla. 2. A tissue section of a mouse intestine "swiss roll" - a gene expression matrix, histological images at different resolutions and additional coordinate files which can be used as input for data analysis with semla. The data was originally generated by Parigi et al. (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-022-28497-0) More information can be found at our package website (https://ludvigla.github.io/semla/)
