Description

Dataset overview: The automatic harvesting of the banana bunch, which is crucial in the agricultural sector, can be done using the dataset for banana bunch harvesting. This dataset includes images of the banana bunch collected from the four different fields: Ponta do Sol, Santo António, and Câmara de Lobos, Ponta do Sol and Lugar de Baixo by using three different smartphones (Samsung Galaxy A12, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and OnePlus 9). The dataset includes 2,685 photos of banana bunches in various environmental settings for harvesting. Dataset collection process: In Madeira Island, Portugal, a team of harvesting experts has divided these banana bunches into two classes: "Cut (ready to harvest)" and "Not Cut (not ready to harvest)". The field was visited 29 times for the purpose of gathering banana bunches; "Cut" data was gathered in conjunction with a harvesting specialist, and the remaining "Keep" data was gathered by the researcher later that day. Data usage: The dataset for banana bunches is useful for researchers, scientists, and various agricultural companies when making judgments about harvesting. As far as the research team's knowledge goes, this is the sole dataset that can be used to study the harvesting of banana bunches.
