Description

Title of program: LIQUID DROP DEFORMATION ENERGIES Catalogue Id: ABQG_v1_0 Nature of problem The deformation dependent terms of the nuclear potential energy in the Myers-Swiatecki's liquid drop model are: Coulomb and surface energies. For nuclear shapes with axial symmetry, they are expressed by two fold and simple integrals respectively. The surface energy was redefined by Krappe and Nix in order to take into account the finite range of nuclear forces. Calculation of this energy requires a three fold integration.
