Description

This dataset includes the relevant newspaper cuttings shared by Dalit activists during face-to-face meetings or through social media networking. Forty-five newspaper articles written in favor of or against Dalit movement (DST) in local Sindhi and Urdu newspapers during research period generated debate and substance for discursive analysis and furnished a bulk of data for content analysis look into different narratives on Dalits and caste. This dataset is the first in sequence that contains some of the articles and essays or opinion pieces along with other printed material related to Dalit activism.
