Computational approach for the detection of evolutionarily conserved miRNA families in mammals

This study presents a systematic approach to analysis of mammalian miRNA families correlating with a genomic context that were retrieved in one of the more recent versions of miRBase. We explored both the annotation data of the miRNAs in families and the input data used in our computational procedure. Next, we identified and counted the mammalian conserved miRNA families.
