Description

We tested the assumption that exposure to natural versus urban landscapes can induce lower discounting and empower the viewer to smoke less. This hypothesis was supported by our findings, indicating that participants viewing pictures of natural scenes exhibited a lower discounting tendency, smoked less, and were more likely to refrain from smoking compared with participants viewing pictures of urban scenes and control participants.
