Description

Arabic diphthongs in defective verbs have several phonological rules, sound and segment changes. The data includes some tables and rules that explain the processes. The data provided are based on Chomsky and Halle (1968) theory called generative phonology, as well as Crowley (1987) that studied the change of sound. Other researchers may study the data in order to compare the Arabic defective verbs that have diphthong sounds with the other languages' diphthong.
