Description

Displacement (vector), and director vector position, for the inverse finite element (IFEM) results of the reference blade, and optimized blades (Note that the displacement is the manufacturing shape of the web). Vf defines the material volume ratio between the optimized material volume and the original material volume in the web. This file in in ParaView "vtu" format. In all cases, the residue norm was 1e-6. For the reference model with Vf = 100%, the solution was computed in twelve iterations along two load steps. For Vf = 60%, the solution was computed in twenty four iterations along six load steps. The Vf = 50% model required twenty six iterations along six load steps. Finally, Vf = 45 required twenty eight iterations along six load steps. In all cases, the IFEM feasibility tests have succeeded, ensuring that the manufacturing shape of the blade will recover the aerodynamic optimal configuration under the service loads and that buckling is not encountered during deformation.
