Student quiz grades on a global warming quiz, assessing the effectiveness of the Socratic Tutor tool. The data shows a statistically significant improvement among the students who used the tutor compared to the control group. The values are the total number of questions correct out of three; this data set does not contain the individual question answers. Below are the quiz questions: 1. Which statement is most true? A) We have no evidence of global warming in the past or the future. B) We have evidence of global warming in the past but not the future. C) We have evidence of global warming in the future but not the past. D) We have evidence of global warming in both the past and the future. 2. The Little Ice Age ended A) Because the industrial revolution added large amounts of CO2 to the atmosphere. B) Before the industrial revolution added large amounts of CO2 to the atmosphere. Students complete an online module about global warming. The experimental group additionally accesses the Socratic Tutor on this topic. Students then take the quiz in an online format.
