Hyperoxia promotes time-dependent cell proliferation and the differentiation of lung fibroblasts, as well as the activation of the mTOR signaling pathway. The dual mTORC1/2 inhibitor OSI-027 inhibits the proliferation and differentiation of MRC-5 cells under hyperoxia exposure and is expected to provide a new target for clinical intervention in hyperoxic pulmonary fibrosis.
