Description

Retrospective observational clinical study data. We investigated diastolic blood pressure variability during the early phase of orthostatic challenge as an index of dynamic autonomic regulation. In this study, exaggerated orthostatic diastolic blood pressure variability was associated with a higher likelihood of subsequent BPPV recurrence, independent of conventional cardiovascular risk factors.

Steps to reproduce

Load the datase into statistical software (SPSS). Apply inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with BPPV Patients who underwent head-up tilt test (HUTT) Calculate blood pressure variability (BPV): BPV defined as [ SD of DBP within first 3 minutes] Extract BPV values at: 1 minute 2 minutes Categorize BPV into three groups: Low, Mid, High Based on cohort-derived thresholds (as described in the manuscript) Define outcome: Recurrence within 6 months (binary outcome) Perform statistical analysis: Logistic regression with recurrence as dependent variable Adjust for age, sex, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease
