Description

This research is dedicated to the isolation and determination of the structure of two new metabolites (austalides V and W) from the austalide meroterpenoids and the study of their anticancer activity. The structures of novel metabolites were established by modern physical methods (multinuclear NMR and mass-spectrometry) and by comparison with related known compounds. The main structural feature of both compounds is a five-membered cycle (G), an unprecedented structural fragment, first found in austalides.
