Latyan Watershed Data1
Description
The hydrometric (sediment concentration and flow discharge) data of the Roudak Station of the Latyan watersheds, Tehran province, Iran. Also the estimated rainfall and snowmelt-runoff erosivities of the climatological station inside and around the watershed.

The Roudak station is located at the outlet of the Latyan basin, at 35.85°N latitude and 51.55°E longitude. Discharge and suspended sediment concentration (SSC) data (> 2000 records) from a 48-year period (1967-2015) were used to construct the sediment rating curve. Rainfall erosivity (R factor) is one of the key drivers of soil erosion used in several erosion models. In mountainous regions, however, where snowmelt constitutes a substantial portion of runoff, snowmelt-runoff erosivity (SR factor) is a significant contributor to the total rainfall-runoff erosivity (TR factor), thereby affecting soil erosion. Although the contribution of the SR factor to the annual TR factor has been documented in a few studies, there remains a significant gap in our understanding of the seasonal dynamics of the TR factor. Hence, this study aimed to predict daily snow accumulation and melt, the SR factor, estimate semi-monthly R and TR factors, and assess their relationship with suspended sediment yield (SSY) in the mountainous Latyan watershed. In this study, the degree-day model was employed to evaluate and modify the R factor by incorporating the SR factor.
