Implications of Fit Customization in the Chinese Menswear Industry An Analytical Study
Description
Semi-structured interviews were used, involving face-to-face meetings lasting between 20 and 50 minutes each. Participants were encouraged to share their experiences freely. Researchers also provided additional information and followed up with the participants when necessary. Throughout the process, participants could express their opinions freely. Even for these informal interviews, specific questions were prepared in advance, focusing on four areas: body measurement, sizing systems, patternmaking, and fit issues in manufacturing. Content analysis was employed to analyze the interview data. The original data from ten interviews were thoroughly analyzed to obtain critical information from each sample. This critical information was then coded and organized into various themes, as showing in my files. The data were statistically analyzed to identify the factors affecting fit customization and highlight areas needing improvement.
