Description

The objective of this paper is to derive the thermal and crustal thickness models beneath the entire Peninsular Malaysia and environs using the potential field data. The estimated depths to bottom of magnetic layer were used to infer the geothermal gradient as well as the heat flow for the study area. We then compare our curie depth estimates with crustal thickness estimates based on gravity inversion.

Steps to reproduce

Magnetic anomaly data (emag2v3) was used to produce curie point depth for the Peninsular Malaysia. Moreover, based on goco06s model Bouguer anomaly map was used to estimate the Moho depth beneath the same region.
